This course covers basic manufacturing concepts of Quality Control, SPC (Statistical Process Control), Lean Manufacturing, and other principles, objectives and influencing factors of production control. Students learn about planning and scheduling applications as well as interpretation and application of GDT to prints and inspection settings. Students may take NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) certification exam in Materials, Measurement and Safety.  UG

Hands on activity in lab.

8. Update Technical Blueprints with appropriate GDT applications.

Second half of semester. CAD software, CMM inspection and specialized labs.
9. Optional NIMS testing for certification.

EXAM for NIMS certification, Industry standard
