Students earning a Networking degree engage in roles such as data communications specialists, help desk support specialists, network and computer technicians, and Windows and Linux server administrators. They find employment in local and regional businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions.
Information Technology (ITEC) students must demonstrate minimum computer competency upon entering the program, as assessed by the Computer Literacy assessment. Those who do not meet the minimum standards must complete additional preparatory coursework. To remain in the program, ITEC students must maintain a grade of C- or higher in their technical courses. The Associate of Applied Science degree is awarded upon successful completion of this program.
