CHWR 2710 - Community Health Worker I 3 Credit(s) This course presents an overview of the roles and responsibilities of a community health worker. The hybrid course includes a study of six major competency areas - health care, social services, communication skills, individual & community advocacy, health education, and skills and responsibilities presented in modules. The course curriculum meets requirements by the Ohio Board of Nursing to apply for professional certification as a community health worker. This course is a flex course and may not follow the regular College calendar. The scheduled dates and times vary throughout the year. Semesters available: Offered based on need. UG
