MATH 0086 - Intermediate Algebra 4 Credit(s) This course provides for development in algebra topics above those presented in beginning algebra and below those in college algebra. Course topics include: equation solving; operations on various type of expressions; functions, including linear, quadratic, exponential, and logarithmic functions; exponents and polynomials (includes factoring and rational expressions); radicals and complex numbers; and sequences, series, and the Binominal Theorem. Successful completion of MATH 0074 with a grade of C- or better or an ACCUPLACER Elementary Algebra score of 58-120 or a COMPASS Pre-Algebra score of 61 or higher and Algebra score of 31-51 or ACT Math score of 21 or higher required.
