This course develops the student’s understanding of the relationship of American culture and language. Students learn to use American idioms related to particular aspects of American life such as business, politics, shopping, and amusement, explore interesting aspects of American culture through browsing news articles, taking weekly field trips to local places of interest (such as a car dealership, a factory, a hospital, a park), reporting on discoveries, and discussing observations from daily life.
